Eric Conn, Head of the OSHA practice in the Washington, DC, office, presents "OSHA Legal Issues Heads Up!" at the Western Occupational Safety and Health Group Meeting.

The lack of OSHA rulemaking and general federal government paralysis in the run-up to the November general elections has lulled some into thinking there are no OSH activities to track. But developments are occurring below the headline level that bear watching and analysis. Mr. Conn will provide a heads up on pending developments in the legal and administrative arenas, including the challenge by certain employer associations to the recent revisions of the HazCom standard, the issuance by OSHA in 2011 of Enforcement Procedures for Investigating or Inspecting Workplace Violence Incidents, and other topics of interest and/or concern to employers. He will also offer his thoughts about the possible consequences of the upcoming election for OSH stakeholders.
