New York, NY (September 19, 2022) – Epstein Becker Green (EBG) is proud to announce that Eric W. Moran, a Member of the Firm in the Litigation & Business Disputes practice and White Collar group, has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (College), one of the preeminent organizations of trial lawyers in North America.
The College is dedicated to maintaining and improving the standards of trial practice, professionalism, ethics, and the administration of justice. Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only, and membership is limited to trial lawyers who are “unquestionably and eminently qualified” and regarded as “the best” of the trial bar in their state or province.
The induction ceremony at which Eric became a Fellow took place on September 16, 2022, during the College’s Annual Meeting in Rome, Italy.
A member of EBG’s National Litigation Steering Committee, Eric focuses his practice on complex civil and criminal matters affecting companies and executives in the financial services, health care, and consumer products industries. He has successfully tried numerous complex matters in courts and arbitration forums across the country, earning him the Chambers USA recognition as “fearless in the courtroom” and worthy of “any complex or sophisticated matter.” Before joining EBG, Eric served for a decade as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in New Jersey, most recently as Co-Chief of the Criminal Division, where he investigated, prosecuted, and tried some of the office’s most significant cases, including high-profile corruption trials of the Philadelphia District Attorney and the Mayor of Trenton. Eric teaches the class “White Collar Crime” as an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers Law School.
Founded in 1950, the College is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Fellowship in the College is extended only after careful investigation into those experienced trial lawyers of diverse backgrounds who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility, and collegiality. Lawyers must have a minimum of 15 years of trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship.
About the American College of Trial Lawyers
Membership in the College cannot exceed one percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province. There are currently approximately 5,800 members in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico, including active Fellows, Emeritus Fellows, Judicial Fellows (those who ascended to the bench after their induction), and Honorary Fellows. The College maintains and seeks to improve the standards of trial practice, professionalism, ethics, and the administration of justice through education and public statements on independence of the judiciary, trial by jury, respect for the rule of law, access to justice, and fair and just representation of all parties to legal proceedings. The College is thus able to speak with a balanced voice on important issues affecting the legal profession and the administration of justice.
