Washington, DC (August 20, 2024) – Epstein Becker Green (EBG) is pleased to announce that Christine Burke Worthen has joined the firm’s Washington, DC, office. Worthen brings with her an extensive background in providing legal and strategic advice to a diverse range of health care organizations, including hospitals, health systems, physician practices, digital health companies, behavioral health providers, and post-acute care and ancillary providers.
Worthen’s practice encompasses a broad array of services beneficial to health care entities. She provides guidance on Medicare reimbursement, participation in CMS Innovation Center payment models, managed Medicaid, managed care contract negotiations, and value-based payment arrangements with commercial payers, self-insured employers, and Medicare Advantage plans. Additionally, she provides counsel on the regulatory, operational, and financial considerations necessary for maneuvering through the changing payment environment, including price transparency, risk assumption, coding and payment integrity, and quality reporting.

In addition to her health care experience, Worthen has over 20 years of experience providing ERISA counsel to employers.

Before joining EBG, Worthen was a partner in the health care practice of a national law firm and served as Vice President and Senior Counsel at a large health system. She also chaired the Healthcare Services Practice Group in a law firm’s Maine and Massachusetts offices.
