Graziosi claimed that Methodist and Southeast had a relationship with billing management service Accretive Health Inc. that echoed the relationship MedStar has with the company, a relationship which serves as a basis for her allegations that MedStar relied on Accretive to submit phony invoices to the government.
In granting the Motion to Dismiss filed by Southeast, U.S. District Judge Robert M. Dow Jr. said Cherry Graziosi, who used to work for MedStar, provided no evidence that Methodist Health Care System Inc., based in Texas, or Southeast Health System Inc., based in Missouri, submitted false claims to Medicare, Medicaid or Tricare.
