The NLRB’s rule streamlining the elections process is coming up on its first anniversary of taking effect. The board has suggested the median petition-to-election times are nearly two weeks shorter.
“With the new election rules, there’s a shorter period of time for campaigning by the employer,” management-side attorney Steve Swirsky of Epstein Becker & Green PC said. “[The new mail-ballot standard] is really is just further eroding an employer’s ability to communicate with workers.”
